Mobile Elevated Work Platform

About our Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)

For difficult to access roofing work, we use a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) as it is more efficient and reduces roof repair time. It also eliminates damage to the roof caused by scaffolding. It allows for easy reach to awkward areas, which may not be accessed by using ladders. Our clients can avoid the need to hire expensive scaffolding and it enables the works to be carried out in a timely manner.

Safety of our MEWP

A safe workplace for all vehicle operations is extremely important. A full risk assessment will be completed by a trained person from Moran Roofing Specialists. They will determine what type of fall arrest or fall restraint (where applicable) is required to be used while operating a MEWP. We ensure not only the operators safety, but also pedestrians, homeowners and vehicles etc. Our MEWP have attended a recognised operator training course and received a certificate I PAF licence.

In addition our MEWP operators have familiarisation training on the controls and operation of the specific make and model of MEWP they are using.

We carry out visual checks, regular inspections and servicing schedules in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the risks associated with each MEWP.

The MEWP is thoroughly examined at least every six months by a competent person in accordance with a recognised LOLER examination scheme.
